Adabell Pooler, daughter of Dwight Daniel Pooler and Charlotte J. Baxter, was born April 10, 1872, in Dunn County, Wisconsin. She died in 1950 aged about 78 years and was buried besides the remains of her husband in Evergreen Cemetery, Colfax, Dunn County, Wisconsin.

On July 3, 1891, Adabell was united in marriage to Gould Heyerdahl in a ceremony performed by N. F. Carpenter, J.P., and witnessed by Burnt Snyder and Minnie Pooler. Gould, a lumberman of Cedar Falls, Dunn County, Wis., was born in 1865 in Norway, son of Gold and Mary Heyerdahl (Haverdahl). He died in 1938 aged about 73 years and was buried in the family plot in Evergreen Cemetery. Their respective gravestones there are inscribed "Gould Heyerdahl 1865 – 1938" and "Ada B. Heyerdahl 1872 – 1950." Their known children, both born in Wisconsin, were:

In the 1910 U.S. Census, Gould Heyerdahl was listed as a 42 years old odd job laborer living in a rented house in Colfax Village, Dunn County, Wisconsin. Listed with him was his 38 years old wife Ada B. Heyerdahl and their two children, 18 years old Lula V. Heyerdahl and 14 years old Garfield H. Heyerdahl. They had been married 18 years and were the parents of 2 children, both living.
