Henry Aldrich was born October 10, 1923 at Grand Rapids MI, the son of Herbert R and Ruby Rose Aldrich. He attended schools at Muskegon MI, graduating from Muskegon Heights High School. He enlisted in the US Army in 1942 during WW II and served for twenty-two years.
He was united in marriage to Evelyn Vanderstelt on January 21, 1948 at Muskegon. While serving in the service he was in the Amphibious Corp. and later in Pharmaceutical. During this time he served four tours in Germany. He retired from the Service in 1964 and worked construction and also at Warm Springs until 1966 when they moved to Glendive and he went to work for the US Postal Service.
The family moved to Fallon in 1973, where he continued working for the Postal Service until retiring in 1981 and moved to Terry in 1990, where they have resided since. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and helping his son-in-law with the work and cattle at his ranch. he especially enjoyed his grandchildren. He was a member of the Church of Christ and the VFW in Glendive and Fallon.
Mr Aldrich, age 69, died May 28, 1993 at the VA Medical Center in Miles City.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, William "Bill" of Seattle WA, and Scott (Joyce) of Fallon; three daughters, Sandy (Allan) Mathiason of Mildred, Crystal (Marty) Goosey of Absarokee and Donna of East Helena, his brother, Herbert Aldrich of Muskegon; and two sisters, Dorothy Sottovia and Mabel Muskobin, both of Muskegon; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Marian.
