She was born August 26, 1914 in Glade Spring, Va., the daughter of the late Ben W. and Lena Copenhaver Clark.
Mildred was a resident of Kingsport for 65 years with her life centered on her family and community. She catered and directed weddings for several years and was a member of the Virginia Club, Dixie Study Club and Iris Garden Club.
She was an active and faithful member of Bethel Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. Blake Faris (1977); and her two brothers, Garland F. Clark and C. Ernest Clark.
