NEW CASTLE — Gary C. Aeppli of New Castle passed away Thursday morning, Sept. 23, 2010, in his residence. He was 56.

Born on June 17, 1954, in New Castle, Mr. Aeppli was a son of Gerald C. and Martha R. Brown Aeppli.

He married the former Pam Pitzer on July 13, 1987. She survives.

Gary graduated in 1972 from Neshannock High School.

He was employed by Local 47 of Plumber & Steam Fitters Union, in which he had worked for 35 years.

Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing, his Harley Davidson motorcycle and camping.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother, David W. Aeppli, Anderson, S.C.; a nephew, D. J. Aeppli; and four nieces, Brandy Snyder, Nicole Lee, Laurie Beth Tomak and Amy Aeppli Arrigo.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents.
