Local Services Held For Mrs. L. Helmick
Funeral services were held last Friday Feb. 26 at the Johannsen-Rossow funeral home for Mrs. Lester Helmick, 64, who passed away Wednesday at St. Francis hospital, Waterloo, where she had been for 3 1/2 weeks following a stroke and surgery.
Surviving is her husband, three sons, William, Des Moines, Melvin, Coolidge Ariz., and Ralph of Waterloo; five daughters, Mrs. Chet Matthews, Harvey, Mrs. Bud Lorenz, Monahans, Texas, Mrs. James Smith, Knoxville, Mrs. Don Dannels, Colfax and Mrs. Wm. Moody, La Porte City.
Burial took place in West View cemetery here.
