William married Francis Cornelia Simpson in 1861 and had the following OTHER children:
1.Melissa Green 1862-1994 mar Anthony Clayton Gibson. She is buried at the Allphin Cemetery in Midway, Texas.
2.Fannie Green May 1880 in Mississippi, death date unknown and was the first child of his second wife Melody. Melody died in 1882,

In 1885 he married for the third time to Aurena Cherry and the couple had a rocky union because he is not on the family's 1910 Fed Census.

William was a Civil War Vet(Confederate, Private in Company K, 26th Texas Cavalry-Davis Mounted Battalion, and mustered out Jun 1865), who applied for his pension in 1909 that was retroactive from 1891 while living in Liberty.

In 1918 Wm moves to Arkansas and continues his pension income there. We do not know why he picked Arkansas.. there are no relatives of his that we know of and last heard of, is his death in 1939 at the ripe old age of 99yrs. Funny thing, the State of Arkansas has no death record for William between 1935-1940. He was living in Mountainburg, Crawford County and we are currently searching cemeteries for his grave.
