Kelly was a friend of mine in the late 70's, early 80's. He loved fast cars and motorcycles. His Dad owned a car lot at one time, . I think his first car was a 1970 Roadrunner with a 440 and shag carpet on the interior. He had a early 70's 340 Cuda, and built a couple of V8 Vegas. I wanted to buy one of the Vegas, but Dad wouldnt let me. , . His wife, Miki, daughters, Shannon and Nicole also survive. To my knowledge, Miki has never remarried.
Kelly was killed in a motorcycle accident near Highland Mall, in Austin,Tx. He always wore a helmet, but was thrown from his bike, a 1982 Honda CX500, and suffered internal injuries. The funeral was terribly sad, as he died just a few days before Christmas. I had just visited with him that afternoon.
