Abel Tryon (1682 - 1761), buried in the same cemetary as Thomas Tryon, was my maternal 6x great-grand Uncle.
My 6x great-grandfather was Zibah / Zybah Tryon, brother of Abel, who married Dorothy Baldwin, d/o Samuel & Abigail (Baldwin) Baldwin of Milford, CT. Samuel was a son of Nathaniel Baldwin & (2) Widow Joanna Westcoat, an early settler of Milford, CT (1639) Abigail was a daughter of John Baldwin & (2) Mary Bruen, who arrived in Milford, CT, around 1640 or so. All the Baldwin's, of which there were quite a few, arrived in Dorchester (Neck), MA, in 1638 on the ship "Martin", except Sylvester Baldwin, John's cousin, who died enroute. Sylvester, John, and Nathaniel were all cousins.
Thomas Tryon was born 5/07/1708. His father was Abel Tryon mentioned above. Abel is listed in FindAGrave.
Thomas was maried twice. His firs wife was Mary Andrews or Andrus, married 12/20/1733. His 2nd wife was Rachel Hammond. They were married on 04/23/1778.
Thomas and Mary had 10 children. I don't know if Thomas and Rachel had any children; I think not.
