She is now walking hand in hand with her husband, Jim.
Carol was born April 12, 1942, the daughter of William R. and Elizabeth O. Ramsey Bell.
She married James H. Deck on July 18, 1959. He preceded her in death Feb. 3, 2010.
They have two sons, Lance (Tina) Deck and Robert M. Deck, both of Rossville, of whom she was so very proud. She also has three grandchildren, Autumn, Ashley and Brayden Deck all of Rossville. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. Carol had one sister, Grace (Ken) Christiansen; and four brothers, Charles (Marilyn) Bell, Gene (Phyllis) Bell, Robert (Martha) Bell and Joseph Bell.
Carol was married to Jim for 50 years with most of that time spent in Rossville. Her greatest joys in life were being a wife, mom, grandma, sister, aunt and friend.
Carol was so much like her mom, always trying to keep peace in the family and keep them all together. She will be sadly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Graveside service will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday June 4, at Rossville Cemetery, with Pastor Dan Mikel to officiate. Burial in Rossville Cemetery. Memorials to donors' choice. Wolfe Funeral Home in Hoopeston is coordinating the service.
