Thomas Grant and his first wife, Frances Owen, married (according to secondary sources) in 1781 had the following children:
Daniel Grant - d. 1859, Clarke Co., GA
William Grant - d. 1825, Wilkes Co., GA
Thomas Grant Jr - d. c. 1839, intestate, leaving a widow, but no children.
Elizabeth Grant - d. bef. 11 Jan 1840; married to William Cone.
Allegedly another child, Mildred Grant, b. c. 1786, & allegedly married J.Billingslea.
This alleged person is not named in Thomas Grant's will and I have yet to find any proof.
Thomas Grant and his 2nd wife, Martha H. Waddy, had one child:
Lucy Grant, b. c. 1816, married to William V. Burney. William Burney d. 1866, Tuskegee,
Macon Co., AL. per Sarah Sharpless
"The Southern Recorder", Milledgeville, GA, 6 Dec 1828: Died - “At Monticello on 28th ult., Thomas Grant, native of Virginia, age 72 years. Had lived in Georgia 40 years. Had been a member of the Methodist Church 42 years and attended the first love-feast ever held in Georgia. His home was the preachers’ home. It is said he left by his will $8,000 to different benevolent institutions.”
