Wife of Elkana Morris McVay (1848-1927). They were married on December 8, 1869 in Clinton County, Ohio. Eliza was the daughter of James McKay and Melethe (Snow) McKay. Mother of eleven children with Elkana: Lou Wilbur, Ida Olive, Melethe, Keziah, James Leroy, Emma Jane "Minnie," Benson West, Christopher Columbus, William Estus, Lena and Earl McVey.

(Please note: This family usually used the spelling of McVey for their last name, however, Elkana's father and grandfather and many other ancestors used the spelling of McVay for the last name.)
