GLEN - Joyce F. Hammock, 62, died Saturday, April 23, 2005, at her son's home in Corinth. She was a native of Tishomingo County and the daughter of Searcy and Bertie Mae Brewer Whitaker. She was an employee of Reitter & Schefenacker in Selmer, Tenn., and a member of the Kendrick Baptist Church and the Tuesday Morning Coffee Bowling League. She enjoyed being outdoors, spending time with her family, and all church functions.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Corinthian Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Stephenson and the Rev. Tim Roaten officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Baptist Cemetery in Burnsville.

Survivors include two sons, Warren Hammock and wife, Lana, of Corinth, and Chuck Hammock and wife, Angie, of Ramer, Tenn.; grandchildren, Madi Rose Hammock, Austin Hammock, Dylan Hammock, and Joey Sample and wife, Lindsey; two sisters, Geraldeene South of Iuka and Ernestine Brown of Glen; special friend and companion, Joe Young; nieces, Tawana Moore and husband, Todd, and Pam Moody and husband, Robert Alan; a nephew, Tony Brown and wife, Tammy; three great-nieces, three great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Raymond Whitaker.

Pallbearers will be Todd Moore, Tony Brown, Joey Samples, Justin Brown, Paul Owen and Cecil Rhoades.

Visitation will continue from 1 p.m. to service time today.
