Ernst Frederick Zimmermann was the son of Frederick Zimmermann 1829 and Christine or Ernestine Falls or Falk.
His parents family emigrated from the Luchow, Pommern, Prussia, now the Uecker-Randow district of Meklenburg-Vorpommern, about 1887.
He married Emily Augusta Henning, the daughter of Michael Henning and Louise D Margraf, on July 26, 1890.
Ernst was a successful business man. After working in the tanning profession, he started and operated a rendering plant one mile west of the city of Sheboygan.
The couple had the following children:
Eliza Alice 1891, married William Weber, lived in Sheboygan, two children.
Minia Minnie 1892, married Walter Frieherr, lived in Sheboygan and in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, two children.
Arthur Herman 1894, married Edna Prescher, lived in Sheboygan, continued with his father's rendering plant in Sheboygan, buried in Lutheran cemetery.
Alfred or Albert A W 1895-1896, buried in Lutheran Cemetery.
Esta Esther 1897, married Arthur Phillip Wolf, lived in Sheboygan, three children.
Ervin or Erwin 1899, lived in Sheboygan and Green Bay, Wisconsin. Buried in the Lutheran Cemetery in Sheboygan.
Harvey Ernst August 1908, lived in Sheboygan and Green Bay, Wisconsin.
