Ernestine Zimmermann was the daughter of Frederick Zimmermann 1829 and Christine or Ernestine Falls (or Falk, or Pfaltz).

Her family emigrated from the Luchow, Pommern, Prussia, now the Uecker-Randow district of Meklenburg-Vorpommern, about 1886, to Sheboygan.


She married Christian Herman "Christ" Wallow on July 20, 1889. The couple lived in Sheboygan, they had one child Charlotte 1915.

Birthday Dinner on Tuesday


While sittting at the table enjoying a birthday inner at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, Mrs Ernestine Wallow, wife of Christ Wallow, of Route 4, Krieg's addition, suffred a cerebral stroke and died instantly.

Mrs. Wallow had gone to the home of her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ernst Zimmermann, on the Lower Falls road, early in the afternoon, to attend a birhtday party given in honor of little Lorraine Weber's second birthday anniversary. The party was given upstairs at the home of Mrs. W. Weber, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Zimmermann, and a niece of Mrs. Wallow. She was in apparent good health and had been in good spirits throughout the afternoon.

Mrs. Wallow was born on November 25, 1859 in Germany, and was sixty-five years old at the time of her death. She came to the United States in 1886, settling in this city and three years later was married here to Christ Wallow. Since coming here from Germany she had made her home in this city.

The survivors are the husband, four brothers, August Zimmerman, in Gemany; Frederick and Ernst Zimmerman, this city and Ferdinand Zimmermann of Oshkosh, two sisters, Mrs. August Beiersdorff of Antigo and Mrs Christ Schultz, who resies two miles from Sheboyogan Falls. One sister preceeded her in death seventeen years ago.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1:30 p.m. form the family residence and at 2 p.m. from Immanuel Lutheran church. Rev. Edward Krause will officiate and interment will be made in the Lutheran cemetery.
