David Miley of the Pine community, who has been ill for the past several years died in the Marine hospital in New Orleans, Friday, and the body was buried in the Miley cemetery on Sunday afternoon at four o'clock, with the Rev. M. C. Thomas officiating.
He his survived by his widow, three sisters and eight brothers and a large number of relatives. Mr. Miley was about 51 years of age and a World War veteran. The local American Legion Post was represented at the funeral by C. M. Crain, Maurice Magee and N. L. Smith.
