Marshall Lutrick (1917-2011)


DENISON - Marshall Lutrick, 94, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 in Homestead of Denison.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 3 at Johnson-Moore Chapel in Denison. Bro. Todd Catteau will officiate. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Interment will be held at Cedarlawn Memorial Park with Military Honor Service conducted by the Sheppard Air Force Base.
Mr. Lutrick was born February 5, 1917 in Enterprise, Louisiana, to Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Lutrick. Marshall married Mildred Jenkins Roberts on July 2, 1949 in Denison. She died on January 8, 1997.
He was a member of Park Ave. Church of Christ. Mr. Marshall joined the U.S. Air Force in 1937. He received many awards while serving in the service. He came to Perrin Field in the 1940's and met and married Mildred M. Roberts on July 2, 1949. After serving in the Korean War he returned to Perrin, and was honorably discharged in 1961. He was employed with L.O. Hammon's Men's Wear until the store closed. Marshall was also a member of the Denison's Lions Club. In his younger years he loved to hunt and fish.
Survivors are daughters Marla Schauf and husband Frank of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Gloria Unerfusser and husband Johnny of Denison; sisters Zell Coleman of Reed Springs, Missouri; grandsons Jim Toothman of Glenpool, Oklahoma, Mike Toothman of Pawnee, Oklahoma, Johnny F. Unerfusser and Tommy R. Unerfusser both of Denison; granddaughters are Lisa Andrews and Tina LaBlue both of Tankawa, Oklahoma; 17 grandchildren; numerous nieces; nephews.
Preceded in death by 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Family suggest memorials to Park Ave. Church of Christ, 3000 S. Park Ave., Denison, TX 75020.
Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home in Denison.
