Cindy Lee Zachery Cross, 54, of Stephenville, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011 in Fort Worth.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, May 29, 2011 at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Dan Murray and Rev. Glenn Shock officiating. Burial will follow at the West End Cemetery in Stephenville.
Cindy was born on December 4, 1956 in Albuquerque, NM to James and Sally Vincent Zachery. She married Malcolm Cross on February 21, 1998 in Stephenville. Cindy has resided in Stephenville since 1995. She was a member of the Concerned Women of America, Cross Timbers Animal Guardian Society, Rainbow Wildlife Rescue, and the Republican Party. Cindy was an artist and writer, and a former columnist for the Stephenville Empire Tribune. She was a member of the Stephenville First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Malcolm; parents, Jim and Sally Zachery of Stephenville; sisters, Charon Zachery of Stephenville, Laurie Thomas and husband Bill of Hico, and Jennifer Hughes and husband John of Granbury; beloved nieces, Sarah Cannady and Claire Hughes; beloved nephews, Zachery, Jared, and Silas Hughes and Taggert Thomas; and her dogs, Jasmine, Sassy, and Chelsea.

Her family will miss her creativity as an artist and writer, her unique sense of humor and style and her willingness to always help, her devotion to her nieces and nephews, and her concern for animals were without equal. Cindy looked forward to her eternal life with Jesus and would want others to know "for God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, so that whoever believed in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16.
Cindy loved the beauty of color, and wanted friends and family to wear clothing of color rather than black attire to her funeral service.
