Service for Gary Dale Ackman, 18 years old, will be held at 2 Wednesday afternoon at New Bethel Baptist Church, east of Pocahontas. Elder Hoffman will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.
Young Ackman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Troy Ackman of Hillsboro, was killed in a traffic accident north of Hillsboro Saturday morning, which claimed the lives of four persons. His father was a former resident of the Pocahontas area.
He was born Aug. 6, 1954, and was a pupil at Hillsboro High School.
Surviving: his parents; brothers, Douglas Ackman, Arnold, Michael Ackman, Louisburg, Kan., and Mickey Ackman, at the home; sister, Miss Ena Ackman, at the home; and his maternal grandfather, Charles Felton, Hillsboro.
The body will be brought to the Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home here Tuesday from Jerry Mahn Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
