SCOTT - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2004, at a Mass of Christian Burial in the Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church for Sherman L. Albarado, 52, who died at 6:50 a.m. Sunday, May 23, 2004, in Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.

Interment will be in the Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery.

The Rev. Gilbert Dutel, pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, will be the celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the services. Jodi Bollich, organist, will sing for the services, "Isaiah 49", "J'irai la voir un jour", "Ave Maria" and "Just A Closer Walk With Thee".

Survivors include his wife, Bernella Albarado, of Duson; one daughter, Martha Nichole Theriot and her husband, Craig, of Duson; two sons, Daman Albarado and his companion, Nanette Martin, of Duson, and Ricky Albarado and his companion, Virginia Peddy, of Lafayette; two grandchildren, Meg Martin and Cali Albarado, both of Duson; his parents, Oran and Rose Stutes Albarado, of Duson; his in-laws, Thomas and Nedia Thibodeaux, of Duson; and two brothers, James "DD" Albarado and his wife, Nedith, of Lake Charles and Ronald Albarado and his wife, Carolyn, of Duson.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bruno and Martha Stutes; his paternal grandparents, Felix Sr. and Zeolide Albarado; and aunts and uncles.

A native of Lafayette and a resident of Duson for most of his life, Mr. Albarado was a member of the Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Community.

He was employed by Seasafe.

Mr. Albarado was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and horse racing.

He loved his wife, children and grandchildren and his jokes, laughter and comedy will be missed by all of his family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Daman, Ricky, James and Ronald Albarado, Craig Theriot and Ray Wilson.

Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Venable, Eddie Williams, Ronnie Albarado and Scott Domingue.
