Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 30, 2011 at a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott, for Rose Stutes Albarado, age 86, who passed away on Friday, May 27, 2011.
Interment will be in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Scott.
Giftbearers will be Cali Albarado and Meg Martin. Lectors will be Mrs. Elda Verret and Mrs. Rosalyn Peak. Musical Selections will be, "Amazing Grace", "Auciel", "I Will Never Forget You", and "The Old Rugged Cross".
Survivors include her son, Ronald Dale Albarado I and his wife, Carolyn Faye Dickson; a daughter-in-law, Bernella Albarado; her grandchildren, Mary Margaret (Albarado) Venable and her husband, Kevin, Ronald Dale Albarado II, Daman Albarado and his wife, Nanette, Ricky Albarado and his wife, Virginia, Martha Nichole Albarado and her companion, Al DeBoisblanc; three step grandchildren, Pamela Louvierre, Jeraldine Romero and Calvin Blanco, Jr.; great grandchildren, Eddie Lee Williams and his fiance' Kymberli Coots, Cali Albarado, Meg Martin and an expected great grandchild; eleven step great grandchildren; five step great great grandchildren; her dearest friends, Mrs. Eva "Mae Mae" Clark, Elda Rabeaux Verret, Rosalyn Fouin Peak and Elvie "TV" Hernandez.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Oran Albarado; her mother, Martha Smalley; her father, Bruno Stutes; maternal grandparents, James Smalley, Sr. and Josephine Latiolais; paternal grandparents, Joseph Homer Stutes and Corrine Hernandez; one sister, Mary Lucy Stutes; her youngest son, Sherman Lee Paul Albarado and one step grandchild, Maria Michelle Turner.
Mrs. Albarado was born and raised in the Judice community and lived there most of her life. She met Oran and they soon married on May 31, 1945 in Orange, Texas. Their deep and devoted love for one another was what fairy tales are made of. Mrs. Albarado possesed a beautiful spirit one could only hope to mimic. She was a kind, caring, generous and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She loved everyone she encountered. Mrs. Albarado was the most compassionate person and loved unconditionally. For she firmly believed you must love everyone, and love from the bottom of your heart. She always gave whatever she had without question. She would drop what she was doing to give you her undivided attention. She would say, "You never know if that would be the last time you see that person or the last time they would see you." She gave all of her heart in whatever she did. She was the epitome of what a mother and grandmother should be.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. For everyone that encountered her through out her life can surely say she left an impression on them. Her caring and thoughtfulness, her cheerfulness, her loving embraces and kisses were who she truly was...she was an angel here on earth. No one can say that they never felt her love for them. The only solace that we may have in her abscence now, is knowing that she is with our grandfather and her son, whom she deeply missed, in Heaven. She will be missed beyond comprehension, we all loved her so.
For all of her dearest family members and friends who stood by her side in the days and months following our grandfather's death and through out the days of her illness...bless you, for you are the reason she cheered up, you are the ones who made a difference with your daily visits, good deeds, countless meals and show of support and love. She loved you all, and appreciated you more than you can know. You all have been a Godsend.
