EDDIE LEAL

Eddie was an extremely generous, courteous, soft spoken, polite and very affectionate young man. The words needed to describe all the positive attributes for Eddie are limitless. Eddie was born on July 3, 1987 in Hemet, California to his parents Celia and Ralph Leal. Eddie's life was in San Jacinto where he attended elementary, middle and high school. Eddie loved to give back to the community where he was born. During high school, he was a member of the Advanced via Individual Determination Club (AVID), and then became a tutor. Early on as a very young child, Eddie developed a love for boxing. While small in stature, Eddie was a determined and tenacious student of boxing. Eddie competed in numerous boxing fights. Eddie and his father volunteered thousands of hours with Cops for Kids, a program designed to keep kids off the streets. Eddie and his father trained both numerous kids and cops and they too became boxers. The boxing students became part of a boxing community and "Team Leal" won many competitions. In addition to his work as a student tutor, Eddie also worked at the Power House Gym as a personal trainer. Eddie's life was one of giving. He gave not only to his community, but also his mother, father and brother. He did not know how to use the word "no."

Eddie is survived by his parents, Celia and Gilbert Ralph Leal, his younger brother Gilbert Leal, his maternal grandmother, 5 uncles, 8 aunts, 27 cousins, and hundreds of friends. We love you Eddie. You will be missed.

Visitation will be today, 6/2 from 4-8pm at McWanes Chapel, following a Rosary at 6pm. Mass Friday, 6/3, 11am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Graveside Service at San Jacinto Valley Cemetery. Donations can be made to Cops 4 Kids & Communities, 208 E. Devonshire, Hemet, CA 92543.
