Albert Ruperd,
retired lumberman

Albert Ruperd, 88, N. Tompkins St., died Friday, Jan. 26, 1979 in McPherson Community Health Center.

He was born July 13, 1890 in Macomb County, Mich., a son of William and Delora (Waldon) Ruperd. He was married to Hazel Doyle who preceded him in death.

Mr. Ruperd had retired from his job as millwright and sawyer for a lumber company. He was a member of the Linden Seventh Day Adventist Church.

He is survived by three sons, Bert of Cheboygan, Cecil of Columbia, Mo., and Delbert Carpenter of Fowlerville; four daughters, Mrs. Helen Harmon of Midland, Mrs. Hazel Gould of Howell, Mrs. Edna VanGilder of Tenn. and Mrs. Diana Graves of Vassar, Mich.; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Bernice Marks of Benton Harbor, Mrs. Cecil Baker of Northville and Mrs. Arla Trim of Union Lake; 43 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Jan. 29 at 2 p.m. in MacDonald's Funeral Home with the Pastor William Dennis of the Linden Seventh Day Adventist Church officiating.

Burial took place in the Lakeview Cemetery.
