MRS. KARL WALTERS
ALLEGANY - Mrs. Margaret L. Walters of 1545 Four Mile Road died Friday (March 6, 1987) in her home following a lengthy illness.
Born Feb. 21, 1916, in Youngstown, Ohio, she was a daughter of Charles and Maude Sterner Buck. On July 14, 1939 in Allegany, she married Karl Warters, who survives.
A resident of the Olean and Allegany areas for the past 66 years, Mrs. Warters was a graduate of Olean High School.
She had been employed by the McCaffery and Baker Dress Shop in Allegany prior to retirement in 1972.
Surviving besides her husband are a son, Richard Warters of San Diego, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Kay) Smith of Allegany; and three grandchildren.
There will be no public visitation. Friends may attend funeral and committal services Monday (March 9, 1987) at 1 p.m. in the Hogan, Johnson and Casey Funeral Home, 30 E. Main St., Allegany. The Rev. Gerard W. Drum, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, Allegany, will officiate. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Allegany Ambulance Fund or to the Allegany Library.
