HERE REST IN SURE AND CERTAIN HOPE OF THE RESURRECTION TO ETERNAL LIFE, THE MORTAL BODIES OF
WILLIAM CAVENDISH 7TH DUKE OF DEVONSHIRE, BORN APRIL 27TH 1808, DIED DECR 21ST 1891.
OF BLANCHE GEORGIANA, HIS WIFE, DAUGHTER OF THE 6TH EARL OF CARLISLE. BORN JANY 11TH 1812, DIED APRIL 27TH 1840.
AND OF WILLIAM, THEIR ELDEST SON, BORN DECR 8TH 1831, DIED MAY 15TH 1834.
"BLESSED ARE THE PURE IN HEART FOR THEY SHALL SEE GOD". [The body of the Countess of Burlington, Blanche Georgiana and those of her infant son and stillborn baby were transferred from Streatham to Edensor on 26th Jan 1892.]
