MISS L. CORDA IS AT REST

The angel of death touched lightly the brow of Miss Linda Corda at the breaking of dawn and she slept, passing peacefully into that world where sickness and death are unknown. Her death was unusually sad and has left relatives and friends broken hearted.

Miss Corda was a young woman of beautiful character and like a ray of sunshine she made others happy; always doing the little things which make life worth the living. She was the light of her home, the life of social gatherings and her death has brought sadness to all who knew her.

About three weeks ago the deceased was taken ill with typhoid fever and two weeks ago was removed to the Petaluma hospital where she could receive the best medical care and attention. A few days ago complications set in and rendered the more hopeless the unremitting efforts put forth to relieve her suffering and ward off death.

Mr. and Mrs. B.J. Patocchi with whom she had made her home since childhood and whom they had learned to love as their own, are broken hearted over her loss. The couple exerted every human effort to nurse hack to health and strength the beautiful young girl but God called her and she was ready.

Miss Corda was born in Hicks Valley and was only nineteen years of age. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Corda and sister of Elmo and Dorinda Corda. After the death of the parents of the children Mr. and Mrs. Patocchi took charge of the children whom they have reared as their, own. The late Miss Corda graduated from the Chileno Valley school and was unusually bright. Possessing a happy and sunny nature she made many friends.

The funeral will take place from the parlors of the Blackburn Co. at 10 o'clock Moday [sic] morning. Service will be held at St. iVncents [sic] and the interment will be in Calvary.
