Lizzie was a daughter of George and Lotta Furnas. Her husband was Thomas W. Lowrey (c.1841-1893), but they had no surviving children. The will of Lizzie's husband Thomas, dated 9 March 1893 in Lincoln, Neb., identifies Lizzie's parents and says Lizzie then had living sisters named Sallie Furnas, Alice Judkins, Mrs. Fanny Teft, and Mrs. Lotta Furnas.
