"FRED CASTEEL DIED IN WASHINGTON FROM INJURIES
The many friends of Fred Casteel, former miner of Burlington and brother of J. F. and Charlie Casteel of that place, will be saddened to know that Fred died recently at Seattle, Wash., where for months he had lain in a hospital of that city following injuries sustained in February.
Fred's death occurred suddenly, at the home of his sister, Mrs. Joe Wistrum where he went after his release from the hospital in the hope that he would be beneffited by the change. A blood vessel burst, causing death. Fred was a fine, clean cut young man and his death will be a severe blow to the remaining members of the family. Five brothers and three sisters survive: Charles and Jim of Burlington, George and Harry of Fairview, Mont., and Burt of Bremerton, Wash. The sisters are Mrs. Joe Wistrum of Bremerton, Mrs. E. B. Gribble of Auburn, Wash., and Mrs. Myrtle Stark of Des Moines, Iowa. Fred was 37 years of age and single. Interment was at Tacoma, Wash."
