- Mrs. Twyla Gean Brafford Tennell, wife of Wayne Robert Tennell, who resided at Rt 1, Thurmont (MD), died Saturday afternoon, June 29 (1974) at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Indianola, Iowa, on June 20, 1930, the daughter of Edon L. Bradford and the late Inez L. Smull Brafford.
Mrs. Tennell was employed by the Gov Thomas Johnson Evening High School as a secretary. Previosly she has been employed at the Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Surviving her besides her husband and father, are one brother, Charles W. Brafford, Des Moines, Iowa; one sister, Mrs. Phyllis Laura Doughton, Des Moines, Iowa; two aunts, Mrs. Erling Hanson, Manchester, Iowa; and Mrs. Leonard Hass, Indianola, Iowa. A number of cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.
Smith, Fadeley, Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, Frederick, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions to be made to the National Cancer Society.
Mrs. Tennell will be removed to the Kale Funeral Home, Truro, Iowa, on Wednesday evening; services there July 5; Rev. Eldon Ringle, pastor of the St. Charles UM Church will officiate. Interment will be in St. Charles Cemetery, St Charles, Iowa.
