Arno Freitag, 63, was a resident of Spokane County for 42 years and had lived in Colbert for the past 30 years.

He was a cook at Casey's Restaurant for 26 years. He also had worked as a cook at Al's Restaurant and worked as a contractor with his son for 10 years. He retired in 2001.


Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Betty; a son, Dave Freitag of Spokane; a daughter, Julie Thaemert of Deer Park; four sisters, Eldorene Ellertson and Eldonna Genrich, both of Alexandria, Minn., Sharon Senneka of Minneapolis and Darlene Cate of Spokane; three brothers, Oris Freitag of Blaine, Minn., Orval Freitag of Glenwood, Minn., and Wil Freitag of Orlando, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.
