Leta Louise Andres, 96, passed away on June 24,2022 in Woodland, California. She was born in Dundy County, NE. to Mary and William A. Baney on January 13, 1926. She grew up on the family farm surrounded by many brothers, sisters and extended relatives.

She was married to Junior Andres on February 10,1945, in Parks, NE. She loved gardening and had a large vegetable garden and many varieties of flowers. They loved traveling to visit family and areas of interest. They farmed northwest of Benkelman until their retirement in 2002, then moved into Benkelman. In 2013 she moved to Woodland, CA. due to health.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and William A. Baney, her husband of 60 years, Junior, a daughter Gala Jean, 3 sisters, Velma Cline, Elia Whitehead, Bonnie Jean Nelson, and 3 brothers, Everet Baney, Dale Baney, and Billie Baney.

She is survived by her son, Garry (Lavon) Andres, a daughter, Reva (Rod) Roland, six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 3 great, great grandchildren, sisters Ruby Stock, Helen Hansen, Barbara (Earl) Pursley and 1 brother, Jim (Mary) Barney, sisters-in-law Delores Baney, Donna Baney, and Betty Ellis, plus numerous nieces, nephews, and friends

Funeral Services will be held Saturday morning, July 16, 2022, 11:00 A.M. (MT) at the Benkelman Memorial Chapel, Benkelman, Nebraska, with Pastor Laura Cherry officiating. Interment will follow at the Benkelman Cemetery, Benkelman, NE.
