ALICE M. GRIFFIN
Alice Magdalene ("Sis") Chapman Griffin, 70, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday following a brief illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at East Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Hubert Ekstrum and the Rev. Wallace Edgar officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Griffin was born June 20, 1911 at Texarkana, Ark. She was a housewife, a quilter and a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Howell Griffin of Texarkana; one son, L.C. Chapman of Texarkana; one daughter Ruby Jeane Higgs of Texarkana; one stepson, Marshall Griffin of Texarkana; two brothers, J.D. Harris and James Harris, both of Texarkana; three sisters, Edna Higginbotham and Mittie Lou Brock, both of Texarkana; and Maudie Chapman of Fort Worth, Texas; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
