Mrs. A. W. Mauck of Newark Dead.
Mrs. A. W. Mauck, 74 years old, died Saturday at her home in Newark after being an invalid for more than four years, following a paralytic stroke. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at the home by the Rev. J. W. Porter, pastor of the Christian Church at Newark. Burial was in the Nelson graveyard south of Newark. Besides the husband Mrs. Mauck leaves one child, a son, Joseph Sampson Mauck, and three foster sons and two foster daughters: James Cupp, Leslie Arehart, Frank Broyles, Mrs. Royal Spees and Miss Grace Mauck. There are nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, and also a number of foster grandchildren. As Eliza Ellen Bentley Mrs. Mauck was born in Lewis County Feb. 4, 1853, and was married to Mr. Mauck Feb. 5, 1868. Early in life she united with the Methodist Church.
