WALNUT RIDGE - Floyd W. Hilburn, 79, of 1648 Airways in Memphis, formerly of Walnut Ridge, retired railroad yard lumberman, died yesterday at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Higginbotham Funeral Home here with burial in Oak Forest Cemetery in Black Rock.
Mr. Hilburn, a native of Lynn, moved in 1935 from Easton to Memphis, where he worked as a lumberman until his retirement in the early 1960's. He was a member of Airways Church of Christ.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Estelle Hilburn; two daughters, Mrs. Bernice Turner of Memphis and Mrs. Laneal Barry of Blytheville; two sons, Bobby Hilburn of Memphis and David Hilburn of Blytheville; a brother, Owen Hilburn of Eaton, 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
