COLUMBIA ~ A memorial service for Mary Romona Leitzsey, 94, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2010, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Officiating will be Mr. James Youngblood and Mr. Billy Youngblood. Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia is assisting the family.
Mrs. Leitzsey, widow of Thomas Suber Leitzsey, died Thursday, January 7, 2010. Born in Columbia, SC, she was a daughter of the late Charlton Levi Livingston and Addie Melvina Koon Livingston. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Clemson Road.
Surviving are daughters, Bonnie Ann Carter of Columbia, and Mary Sue Bradley of Gastonia, NC; sons, William Joe Leitzsey (Cheyenne) of Columbia, and George Henry Leitzsey (Gail) of New Brockton, AL; 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Leitzsey was preceded in death by sons, Thomas Arthur Leitzsey and Charles Levi Leitzsey; grandson, Robert Coker.
