Mildred was born February 2, 1919, in Lowville, NY. She was the daughter of Jay and Viola Bushey. She and her husband, Phil, owned Mildred's Clothing Store for over 15 years. They retired and moved to Dunnellon, Florida, in 1971, where they became active in Garden Club, Stamp Club, AARP, Civic Club and Hospital Association, among others. She organized many flower shows for the Garden Club and won prizes for her flower arrangements. They were chairmen of the Rainbow Lakes Birthday/Anniversary dinners once a month for many years. Millie continued after Phil passed away in 1990. They had celebrated 51 years of marriage in 1990 when they renewed their vows.

Millie was a Girl Scout leader, past Matron of the Eastern Star, sang in the First Presbyterian Church choir in Lowville and then in the First Baptist Church in Dunnellon.

In 2008, she moved from Florida to Manlius, NY, to be near family. She lived in an assistive living home, where she played in the Bell Choir. This year she moved to Clare Bridge, a dementia care facility, and most recently to James Square Nursing Facility in Syracuse, NY.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Chuck) Meyer of Farmington, NY; son, Phil (Sue) Greene of Jamesville, NY; grandchildren, Tim (Lori) Kirch, Laurie (Fred) Alber, Tracey Bowers, Jennifer Greene and Philip Green; and great-grandchildren, Brad (Aubrey) Kirch, Tegan Kirch, Nicholas Alber, Meghan Bowers, Marcel Gonzales and Piper Gonzales.

Funeral arrangements are being made by Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home.

There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held in the spring.
