OAKLAND, CALIF. - Preston Walter Jackson, 73, formerly of Ogden, died Thursday at his home in Oakland.
Mrs. Jackson was a past member of the LDS Ogden Ninth and Eighteenth Wards. He had been a member of the high priest quorum and a home missionary in Oakland. He was employed by the Forest Services in Ogden and Oakland. He moved to Oakland in 1933.
He was born Oct 4, 1882, in Ogden, a son of William and Harriet Hall Jackson. He married Grace Taylor.
Surviving are his widow, the following sons and daughters: Wendell and Louis Jackson, Mrs. Florence Cragun, Oakland; Frank Jackson, Centreville; Mrs. Gloria Tanner, Bountiful; three brothers and two sisters, Dr. Allen Jackson, Alabama; Harold and Frank Jackson, Mrs. Pearl Cordon, Mrs. Belle Nelson, Ogden; 12 grandchildren.
The body will be brought to Ogden. Funeral services will be announced by the Larkin Mortuary.
