E Stephens. CRUISE CREEK CEMETERY: The church has been gone since before 1963. It sits far back on Green Road in Independence, Kentucky, Kenton County. There is no sign and the grave headstones are in very poor condition as no one has taken care of it, save the owner of the adjacent property -- which is a large home. I was simply unable to see all the stones but will make another attempt at a later time, when I have tools to dig out the fallen markers. The owners' of the adjacent property claim ownership of this very old and long forgotten graveyard, the county does not appear to even be aware it exists. Contact me if you want further information on how my daughter and I actually found this cemetery as it is not visible from the road and there are no signs identifying it.
