SCHUB, BERTHA July 19, 1922 to May 17, 2011 Bertha passed away peacefully at her home in La Jolla where she lived for more than 30 years. She enjoyed a long and successful career at UCSD as Assistant to the Chair, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Bertha was preceded in death by her husband Murray Edelstein (1971), Carl Schub (1980) and her son Bruce Edelstein (1993). Bertha is survived by her daughter Tami Gowan, her loving grand-daughters Chandra Edelstein, Crystal Gowan, and her beloved great-grandsons, Jaylen, Alex, and Jordan. She is also survived by her family in Ohio including her sister Virginia Gold, her brother Herb Harmon, and many nieces and nephews. She has touched the hearts of many and will be deeply missed. At her request no funeral services were held. Bertha will be laid to rest at El Camino Memorial Cypress View Mausoleum.
