Robert Emmett Collins passed away on May 24, 2011 at his home after battling cancer.

He was born August 24, 1945 to Martin Emmett Collins and Ethel Mae Caffall. He married Kay Miller on May 3, 1969. Robert served three years USMC in Vietnam, and twenty years managing the Kearns Babe Ruth peewees. He retired after thirty years with Salt Lake City Street Department.

Survived by wife Kay; son Rob (Kristi) Collins; sister Jan Collins; sisters-in-law Gwynn Harlowe, Susan Linker; brothers Patrick (Evelyn) Collins, Michael (Sally) Collins; granddaughters Megan and Mariah Collins.

Graveside Services will be held on Friday, May 27, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Valley View Memorial Park Cemetery, 4335 West 4100 South. A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2011 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley Mortuary, 1007 West South Jordan Parkway (10600 South), and Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
