Mary McElroy was born on August 15, 1919 in Pleasant Prairie, Iowa the daughter of Glenn and Katherine Welch McElroy.
On March 29, 1940 Mary was united in marriage to Raymond Robert Tobias in Muscatine.
Mary was a member St. Mathias Catholic Church. She was employed at Barton�s Fashion Corner until her retirement in 1989.
Mary will be deeply missed by her daughter
Cathy Henning and her husband Jerry of Muscatine;
two grandchildren, Jennifer VanGorp and her husband Sam of Ft.Worth, TX and Jeff Henning and his wife Denise of Muscatine; and two great grandchildren, Ryan and Rylee Henning both of Muscatine.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1983, two brothers; and one sister.
