Vivian J. Gianelloni was born in Oct. 28, 1892 at Longwood Plantation. In 1913, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the Audubon Sugar School, Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge. After completing his education, he went to Cuba to begin his career in the sugar industry at the Punta Alegre Sugar Corp. During World War I, he served as a lieutenant in the artillery. He returned to Cuba after his discharge and rejoined the Punta Alegre Sugar Corp. He served as vice-president for ten years before becoming president of the company, a position he held for fifteen years. Vivian died Nov. 13, 1957.
