Helen Sisson Champlin, youngest known child of George D. Champlin and Esther Ann Sisson, b. June 6, 1861 at Glens Falls, NY where she d. July 22, 1924.

On Aug. 2, 1887 at Glens Falls, NY, Helen m. Horace Waite Bell, s. of Rev. William Powell Bell and Mary Edna Leach, b. Nov. 5, 1861 at Wilton, NY. He d. July 25, 1906 at Glens Falls. They had two children who are summarized in their father's memorial.

Helen and her husband were distant cousins, mutual descendants of George Soule, a passenger of the 1620 Mayflower voyage to Plymouth, Mass. They separately descended from different children of George2 Soule (George,1) and his wife Deborah of Dartmouth, Mass.

• Mrs. Helen C. Bell, 63, widow of Horace W. Bell; died at 1:30 yesterday afternoon in the home of her sister, Mrs. Patrick Hayes, 9 Horicon avenue. She was born in Glens Falls, the daughter of the late George and Esther Champlin. She was a member of Christ church, and of the Friends in Council. Her husband for many years was a prominent newspaper man, having been employed on the old Morning Star and the Times.
• Besides her sister, Mrs. Bell is survived by a son, H. Waite Bell of Hartford, Conn.; a daughter, Miss Harriet Bell of Glens Falls; another sister, Miss Elizabeth Champlin; and a brother, Egbert Champlin of this city.
