Dean Ernest Larsen, second son
of Ernest and Irene Larsen was
born in Newell, Iowa, on July 27,
1936 and was called to that great
beyond on May 27, 1954, at the age
of 17 years and 10 months.
Dean had spent all his life in
this community. He began his education
in the Newell school and
only recently completed his 12
years of education in the same
school.
In his school activities, he was
president of the senior class, member
of the F.F.A. for four years,
business manager of the school
year book and a member of the
basketball team.
He was consecrated in Baptism
and became a member of the Newell
Methodist Church and for the
past three years has missed but
few Sundays singing in the church
choir.
Dean was one of those rare
young men who believed in action
rather than much talk. Thus he
could usually be found busy with
the things that needed to be done.
