She was born July 15,1918 in Cooks,the daughter of Dominic and Merilda (Demars) Popour,and attended the Cooks School.
On Jan. 27,1937,she married Roy F. Rochefort in Garden. He preceded her in death on Nov. 25,1963. Lorna was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing,crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by her sons,Donald (Irene) Rochefort of Gladstone,Derold (linda) Rochefort of White Lake,Mich.,and Rocky (Cookie) Rochefort of East Tawas,Mich.;daughters,Judy (Dale) Russell of Commerce,Mich.,Darlene (Joe) Arnold of Manistique,Cindy (Jim) Smith of Manistique and Anna Rochefort of Escanaba; 16 grandchildren;28 great grandchildren;brothers,Floyd (Shirley) Popour of Sturgeon Bay,Wis,Raymond "Babe" Popour and Vern "Bunny" (Phyllis) Popour of Manistique;sisters,Verilda Vanderville and Rita Peterson of Manistique and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents,she was preceded in death by a granddaughter,Maryann Rochefort,two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. with Fr. Glenn Thoret officiating.
Burial will be in the New Garden Cemetery in Garden Township,Mich.
