Services for Mr. James Austin May, 75, were held Saturday, June 5, 1993, at 2 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Grove with the Reverend Joe Solomon officiating. Interment followed in Kilbourne Cemetery for Mr. May who passed away on Thursday, June 3, in Monroe. Services were under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Alma Gertrude May, of Kilbourne; three sons, Donald May, of Kilbourne, James Richard May of Forrest, Mississippi, and Ricky May of Fresno, California; two daughters, Sue Bonner, of Bastrop; and Melba Brown, of Kilbourne; 12 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Cecil May, of Havana, Florida; one sister, Lela Brock, of Zachary; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers were John Tullos, Bill Langston, Don Murray, Pat Harper, Dean Malone, Richard Boutwell, Wayne Edwards, A.C. Fryday, J.P. Littlefield and Bill Chop.
