Obituary
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 10, 2007 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Verlis Ignace Meche, 64, who passed away Saturday, July 7, 2007 at a local hospital.
Reverend Timothy Richard, Pastor of St. Edmond Catholic Church, will officiate the funeral services.

Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette.

Mr. Meche, the son of Joseph Clovent Meche of Grand Coteau, La and the former Aimee' Benoit of Church Point, La, was a native of Lewisburg, La and a native of Scott, La. He was a veteran of the military having served in the U.S. Army. He was a musician who enjoyed playing Blues and Swamp Pop. He played both sax and keyboard.

Survivors include two daughters, Aimee Alleman and husband, Brandon and Karen Domingue and husband, Dillon; one son, Chase Meche; four grandchildren, Baileigh Meche, Nicholas Henderson, Maeson Shepherd, and Chloe Alleman; one sister, Anna Lee Miller; and two brothers, Clinton Meche, and Ewell Meche.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marie T. Meche; and one brother.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Alleman, Dillon Domingue, Chase Meche, Elijah Mayo, Michael Thibodeaux, Ricky Meche, and Ricky Myers.

Delhomme Funeral Home, 1011 Bertrand Drive, Lafayette, Louisiana was charge of funeral arrangements.
