John Martens, aged 64, residing at 1116 Division Street, died from a "heart attack" while driving his automobile on Division Street Sunday morning. He was on his way to attend services at the German Evangelical Church. The attack overcame him before he had time to attend to stopping the car and it continued on its way until it crashed into a telephone pole a block from his home. When physicians arrived they said that death had probably been instantaneous. He is survived by the widow and several children. The funeral was held yesterday from the home of a son residing on the lake shore road this side of Kewaunee.
