"Maria Eleanor Baxter, (nee Engell), wife of Benjamin Baxter, died at her home in Sharon Springs, after an illness of six weeks, on Friday, March 13th, in the 73d year of her age. The funeral services were held from the Leesville Lutheran church, at two o'clock, Tuesday, March 17th, Rev. G. H. Kling, pastor of the Lutheran church at West Sand Lake, officiated. Interment in Leesville cemetery. She is survived by her husband; one son, John H. Baxter; three grandchildren, Kenneth, Amy and Benn Baxter, and three brothers, Adam, Dow and Dewitt Engell."
