Dr. Preston R. Clark, Oneida County coroner, ruled death caused by strangulation and gave a decision of suicide.
Beck was a World War II veteran and a paper maker.
He was born at Lyons Falls, son of Michael and Sarah Tuffey Beck. He was employed by the Moyer-Pratt Lyonsdale for a time, and for the past 15 years by the Gould Paper Company at Lyons Falls.
He married Dorothy Iseneker in 1939. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church its Holy Name Society and of the American Legion.
Besides his wife he leaves three brothers Martin and Donald, Lyons Falls; Gordon, Ogdensburg; three sisters, Mrs. Frederick (Florence) Anderson, Crogan; Mrs. Wesley (Mary) Scouten, Port Leyden; Mrs. Alfred (Margaret) Rocker, Port Leyden.
The funeral will be at 9 Friday from his home and at 9:30 from St. Joseph's Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Utica Daily Press, Tuesday, May 23, 1961
