Mr. Milford Bishop, 84, of Valley, AL died Sunday, 20 Apr 2008 at Randolph Medical Center in Roanoke, AL.
Funeral services are planned for 2 p.m. Thursday, 24 Apr 2008 at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley, AL with Rev Robert Huff officiating. Burial will follow at Shawmut Cemetery.
Mr. Bishop is survived by two sons, Larry Milford Bishop of Valley, AL and Russell "Rusty" Bishop of Eunice, LA; one sister, Evelyn Cacellas of Winston-Salem, NC; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Born 4 Mar 1924 in Roanoke, AL, Mr. Bishop was the son of the late Roxie Langley Bishop and Larkin Bishop. He was a veteran, having served with the US Army during World War II. Mr. Bishop was a retired employee of West Point Pepperell's Langdale Mill with more than 30 years of service with the company. Mr. Bishop was a member of Shawmut Church of the Nazarene.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Odell Heard Bishop and his daughter, Sheila Uvera Bishop.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, 23 Apr 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley, AL.
